Item Description
Hunter 9V DC Latched Solenoids are used for battery-operated timers, like the NODE, SRV, WVC and XCH. The DC solenoid is used instead of the 24V standard solenoids because the battery-operated controller sends a DC pulse to operate the solenoid. The DC latching solenoid will have on black wire for the common wire and one red wire for the station wire, instead of two red wires. It is important that the wires are connected correctly for proper operation. The black wire is connected to the C or COM (common) terminal inside inside the controller, and the red wire connected to the appropriate station terminal. The DC Solenoids replace the standard AC solenoids that come on a Hunter valve. The DC solenoid is designed to fit on all Hunter Plastic Valves.

hange a Solenoid:
Disconnect the control box from the power source.
Remove the wire nuts that are attached to the existing solenoid wires and remove the two wires. Mark the two wires that were connected to the solenoids.
Unscrew the solenoid in a counterclockwise direction to remove it from the valve.
Screw the new solenoid into the valve in a clockwise direction. Tighten it by hand only, excessive force is not necessary and will damage the solenoid. Do so gently.
Twist the new solenoid wires onto the wires that you have marked. On Hunter DC latching solenoids, there is a black and a red wire. The black wire connects to the C or COM (common) terminal inside the control, and the red wire connected to the appropriate station terminal.
Thread waterproof wire nuts over the wire connections until snug.
Reconnect the control box to the power source. The valve should now open and close properly.

I will gladly accept returns if you ordered the wrong item or even if you just changed your mind. The buyer has 30 days to return the item (the buyer pays shipping fees). The item will be refunded once it has been inspected to verify that it has not been used, installed and in it's original packaging. I will have to deduct my shipping cost to you though.
