What is Mucuna 15% Pruriens L-Dopa?
Mucuna Pruriens, also known as Velvet Bean, is a bean that is grown on a climbing shrub and grows white, lavender, or purple flowers and can be very itchy when touched due to serotonin on the surface of the tree. It is found in India, the Caribbean, and Africa. The bean contains an excellent source of L-DOPA, and it also possesses antioxidant content. L-DOPA is a precursor to the neurotransmitters dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine, collectively known as catecholamines.
